特别需要指出的是，条件绿卡的2年也包括在计算入籍的时间内。即婚姻入籍从获得条件绿卡算起的2年9个月就可以申请。
即使当时751还未获得批准，也可以提出入籍申请。移民局将合并两案处理。

入籍面谈
面談時，移民官將會考三部份問題：
第一部份：表格上的問題，您只需回答「YES」或「NO」。
第二部份：移民官將會問您10-15題有關美國歷史及政治的問題，希望此份資料能幫助您順利通過。移民官將有三種考法，一是給您自唸自答，二是他唸您寫，三是他唸您答，三種考法將會取用一種。

第三部份：移民官將會考您寫一句很短的句子，在此特別提供給您曾被考過的句子作參考。希望能幫助您順利成功、心想事成。

如果移民局批准了您的归化申请，您必须出席宣誓仪式，并宣誓效忠美国。移民局将用邮件方式通知您宣誓仪式举行的时间和地点。
